Plans now are for Dave n Lisa and Torry to stay in Tijuana till Aug. 31. The doctor is very positive that Torry will do well if they stay for 6 weeks of treatments.

They are giving him treatments (Avastin) that are supposed to attack his genetic problem.

Torry has been having back pain, but the last several days that has improved.

Lisa has not been feeling very good the last couple days , so she stayed at the hotel more. -Tina RF

Here is an update from Dave. -Tina

   Thanks for all of you who are praying for Torry's appetite.  Yesterday Torry said to his Mom & Dad: "I am feeling better today because of all the people who are praying for me." God already did heal some more, but please continue to pray for strength and Healing . His appetite has improved some already, praise the Lord .  Looking forward to tomorrow, because we are expecting  Ervin & Norma Friesen and family from Oasis, Mexico  to visit us one day and night .  Dave & Lisa Torry

Please pray for Torry's appetite to improve. Also that he would have less discomfort.

As of now their plan is to stay for 3 weeks of treatments.

They have been blessed with company....Corny& Mary Plett with family (cousins) and 3 men from the USA who came to pray and sing with them.

at the hotel

Torry is released from the hospital and gets to stay with his parents at the hotel tonight!!! Tomorrow final arrangements for treatments will be made.

Peter flies out of Tijuana at midnight. -Tina

staying longer

Peter is coming home tomorrow, but Dave n Lisa plan to stay a while longer yet so Torry can receive some treatments. Not sure yet how long.

Peter and Lisa took a walk to the ocean today.

more discomfort

Last night Dave n Lisa both stayed with Torry at the hospital, because Torry had more discomfort since they give him less medication for pain.

Please pray for wisdom, as it is very difficult for them to decide what is the best thing to do next...whether to stay several weeks for treatments or not. -Tina

rested well

Talked with Lisa. Lisa stayed with Torry at the hospital for the night, while Peter and Dave went to the hotel. Torry still receives medication for pain, so he rested well during the night. This morning he is enjoying computer games.

They are still waiting to talk with Dr. Bautista. -Tina RF

surgery over

I talked with Peter. Torry's surgery is over. It took about 1 1/2hr.The doctor was only able to take out about half of the tumor because it was attached to a main artery, and thus it was too dangerous to remove it all. But the other organs all looked clear. Apparently the tumor has started to grow from the lymph nodes that had cancer cells already at the time of his first surgery. Doctor said this was a very aggressive kind. They injected the part of the tumor that remains, hoping that the medication will kill it. But the Doctor wasn't sure what to expect from here, since it was a new case for him. So please keep lifting them up in prayer. -TinaRF

surgery today

Torry's needs to go in to the hospital at about 11 o'clock (Tijuana time) today. That is 12 noon in Belize. 

Please pray for Dave n Lisa that they can relax, and trust God to guide the doctors during the surgery.

Peter, Lisa's oldest brother, arrived in Tijuana before evening yesterday, to stay with them during the surgery and a couple days after. So they enjoyed their evening together...eating pretzels .... -TinaRF for Dave n Lisa
