Prayers Support needed

Thanks for your support in prayers, About Torry , Once in a while he takes a Ibuprofen  not every day .His appetite is better now that were at home, what we are thank full for . Sorry for not responding earlier, we are busy in our minds about what right steps to take forward for Torry, also try to catch up with so many things around at home needed.  We are still waiting for the cancer clinic to respond and tell us to come in and get the chemo this week yet.

Hi ,Thanks for YOUR PRAYERS! We had a fairly good weekend .The stronger treatment have really not been knocked Torry down so far, except HE felt nausea yesterday morning and had to throu up his breakfast and did not eat much during the day! TODAY is Wednesday morning, only here for two more treatment.

Hope that Torry can tolerate more food today ,to get more stronger ,and feel OK when we’re going HOME, what a meeting that will be ,with our earthly FAMILY again ,AND MORE PREASIUOS IN OUR HEAVENLY MANSIONS someday!!!!!!!!        WE ask for PRAYERS for TORRY stomach ,nausea and good appetite!       And Pray also for us, as Parents, to make the right choices for TORRY, and get the right medicine what HE would need, and the financially support for that…………….!

With treatments

    Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; ]Torry, has three days behind Him, of stronger chemo treatments, now, seems like every day works better, even today if they did more stronger than before .Monday after the first strong treatment He had strong pain ,maybe the Cancer got more attack of the new treatment!!!!! So He’s getting two more yet this week.AND THEN---------A week to follow up and go home ,the 14^th Sept. Saturday. Torry had ate a good lunch today,[little mashed potatoes + corn] first real meal since Friday, He had mostly  drank Ensure since then. Lisa & Dave

New dicissins

Torry , Is impoving slowly, better apitite, last pain ,just a little bit most of the time!  NOW the Dr. says We should stay 2 weeks longer for stronger treatments[,because the Cancer has not shrunk enough],that it would be more afective. Until Sept.14.[  Money,] The cost we’ll hear today ,is an issue ,beside that we feel to go ahead .On Tuesday a specialist[ Oncologist for Cancer &children] came to checkup on Torry, he said to try more and gave a new program to do here, for five days chemo treatment than a week to check how he’ll respond to it starting on Monday Sept. 2 .PRAY for strength,affective,endurens ,and children at home. Appetite

Thanks for all the prayers for Torry’s Pain and Appetite, It has really change this time (week)for the better. Most of the pain has left . His appetite has slowly improved , Today he eat a fairly good meal , Rice & Beans and 2 boiled Eggs. And he felt good afterwards. Waiting to improve more yet , Torry ask for more PRAYERS  that the Cancer would disappear .

Pain

Hi, thank you a lot for thinking and praying for us and especially for Torry! Right now He’s having real pain , on his back and belly too,5:00 o clock in the morning. He’s not been eating well since Friday or Thursday. I was done with my treatments on Saturday and  I’m feeling well.

David started his treatments on Thursday. Had planned to go to US this afternoon when Torry is well enough.   Lisa & Dave

 Thanks for all your Prayers ....

  Torry's appetite is almost back to normal. He stopped using PAIN killers, which we are very thankful  for.

                        Friday we had the news from the Doctor that he felt the Cancer is shrinking!!!!

                        Last Wednesday Torry got AVASTIN(Chemo) . It didn't  set him back much.   So they will give him  3 more Treatments before we can go home .  This picture shows how we spent our Sunday today.  We have also spent many evenings like this playing games. - Dave

I talked with Lisa last night. It is special for them to have some friends from home around. Hermie Wolfes from Spanish Lookout are in Tijuana now, staying at the same hotel and taking treatments at the same clinic as Dave's do. So it feels "Gemeinschaftlich" for Dave, Lisa and Torry. It gives them opportunities to have lunch together, etc.

Also Menno Friesen from Nova Scotia visited them yesterday. He is staying with Hein Penners at another clinic in Tijuana.

Today they plan to start giving Torry Avastin, which is the medication that is supposed to kill the cancer. Please PRAY that it will be affective!!

Lisa feels a lot better already, yet continues to receive treatments.

They begin with treatments each morning at 10 bz time, and are done by 3 o' clock, sometimes they are done a bit earlier.

Thanks for Praying

Thank you friends, for praying. Your prayers have made a big difference already. Please keep on praying. Torry has less pain , and he doesn't need to take much pain medication anymore. He only takes 200 mg Ibuprofen for the night. He sleeps very good at night, which the Doctor says is a good sign. The doctor still feels very hopeful that Torry's cancer is shrinking. They are slowly stepping up with Torry's treatments, but still not giving the strongest meds yet which they plan to give in a couple days. 

Lisa begins to feel better , but still tired. The Lord has been good to us. -Dave (posted by Tina)

Dear friends, please keep lifting up Dave n Lisa and Torry to our heavenly Father and Healer. Lisa has been sick since last week and now a couple days ago they found out that she has Hepatitis A. She is receiving treatments at the same clinic where Torry does, but she has had some miserable days already.

Aug.31

Plans now are for Dave n Lisa and Torry to stay in Tijuana till Aug. 31. The doctor is very positive that Torry will do well if they stay for 6 weeks of treatments.

They are giving him treatments (Avastin) that are supposed to attack his genetic problem.

Torry has been having back pain, but the last several days that has improved.

Lisa has not been feeling very good the last couple days , so she stayed at the hotel more. -Tina RF

Here is an update from Dave. -Tina

   Thanks for all of you who are praying for Torry's appetite.  Yesterday Torry said to his Mom & Dad: "I am feeling better today because of all the people who are praying for me." God already did heal some more, but please continue to pray for strength and Healing . His appetite has improved some already, praise the Lord .  Looking forward to tomorrow, because we are expecting  Ervin & Norma Friesen and family from Oasis, Mexico  to visit us one day and night .  Dave & Lisa Torry

Please pray for Torry's appetite to improve. Also that he would have less discomfort.

As of now their plan is to stay for 3 weeks of treatments.

They have been blessed with company....Corny& Mary Plett with family (cousins) and 3 men from the USA who came to pray and sing with them.

at the hotel

Torry is released from the hospital and gets to stay with his parents at the hotel tonight!!! Tomorrow final arrangements for treatments will be made.

staying longer

Peter is coming home tomorrow, but Dave n Lisa plan to stay a while longer yet so Torry can receive some treatments. Not sure yet how long.

Peter and Lisa took a walk to the ocean today.
