Ronnie's Birthday

For 18 yrs. Dave n Lisa celebrated Ronnie's birthday with Ronnie together on the 18th of Feb., but today they only have fond memories left of him.They cannot touch him, can't hear his voice, can't see his face. Joy and sadness mixes together as they sadly miss him, but joyfully think of his celebration in heaven today. Please remember the Loewen family today....grieving is so painful and takes lots of energy. 

Torry is still doing fine in Tijuana, and they are looking forward to leave there Friday evening and arrive home Saturday about noon sometime. -Tina RF

Torry has a rough night behind him, but today he is feeling fine again. Apparently he ate something last night that was bad for his stomach. Torry seems to handle the treatments very well, which Dave's are very grateful for. Thanks for your prayer support. Please keep on praying, it is no small thing for Dave n Lisa to have to be away from home again. -Tina RF

Torry is doing well with the treatments. He enjoys going for walks in the mall and also tries to keep caught up with his school work. The hours he needs to be at the clinic for treatmenst seem long and boring. The test they did on the polyps was only to check what kind of treatments or how strong Torry needs.

Dave n Lisa and Torry are all excited about the visitors they are expecting tomorrow evening. Reynald and Irma (from Oasis) and one son about Torry's age are going to visit them for a couple days.

Dave's are planning to come home on the 23rd of this month. -Tina RF

Visiting the Children's Home

I talked with Lisa this morning.This afternoon Torry gets to visit The Shining Light Children's Home in Tecate. Mrs.Annie Kornelsen is going with Dave's.

Dr. Bautista says it's very important that Torry gains weight, so he is encouraged to eat anything he wants.He has gained 3 lbs. already. Dr. Bautista is not around for the weekend, so it will take till Monday to hear about the test results. Torry says he feels well and energetic.

Dave says Torry is doing very good. He took all his school books along and got a lot of school work done yesterday. He is brave about the needles also. Today sometime they should receive the test results from the pulups. Gladly leave comments on the blog, or email them personally. That means a lot to them. -Tina RF

The Trip was very relaxing everything  went fine reach in time every were . Torry sleep one & half hr on the floor in Mexico D F in airport covered with a blanket . We also had a good lunch there. Yesterday LMR came to our room visit us at least 1 hr. She will have a surgery in a few days.   Now we almost ready to have our breakfast.  We didn't see Henry Dueck' yet . Well, we are home again, and Dave n Lisa with Torry should arrive in Tijuana in an hour or 2. After the colon scope was finished, the doctor said that Torry couldn't fly until next week Wednesday. So Dave n Lisa had a couple hours of feeling a bit disappointed and wondering what to do next, but after they talked with the doctor again and explained that they really didn't feel good about cancelling the trip , and the doctor saw that Torry was doing very well, then he gave permission for them to fly today. That was a huge relief. Your prayers make a difference! -Tina RF

Dave n Lisa's plans are to go to Chetumal early this afternoon.Peter and I are taking them. Torry is scheduled to have another colon scope early tomorrow morning to remove some pile ups. Then they plan to fly out to Tijuana from Chetumal on Sunday morning. They expect Torry's treatments inTijuana will take about 4 wks.

test results

Dave n Lisa received Torry's tests results last night. 6 out of 40 lymph nodes were cancerous. That is a higher percentage than Dave had.So the doctor says they definitely need to give Torry chemo treatments. So please pray for them as they make decisions about further treatments.Pray for strength and rest in the Lord as they face this difficult situation.

came home today

Torry was released from the hospital today . They arrived home in the afternoon.... so grateful that Torry is healing  well after the surgery and so excited to all be home together again. They were expecting the test results on Friday, but so far have  not received them. Torry needs to go in for further medical aid on Saturday.                                                                             - Tina RF

Peter, John Wayne and I came home last night, so Dave's are staying by themselves for now. The are expecting some company tonight yet, which they are looking forward to. Torry sat in the waiting room for over an hour yesterday and felt okay.He didn't want to sleep during the day, so he would sleep well during the night again. Your prayers make a difference. -Tina RF

Fwd: praising God this morning

Torry slept very well last night. He feels positive this morning. He enjoyed sitting in a chair over an hour and walking about his bed a little, and then he went off to the bathroom , and praise God, he had his first bowel movement after the surgery! the day went well

Torry has enjoyed meeting his siblings today. We brought the children along , then after spending a few hours with Torry at the hospital, Jody, Jake and Darrel went along home with Panco n Esther. Cordell stays in Chetumal.

Torry has enjoyed playing 'UNO' with John Wayne n Cordell. He has also sat up in a chair for a while today. That felt like a step forward for Torry.-Tina RF

Good morning. God has given us an easy and peaceful night. Torry can feel some pain when he's awake, but he stays quiet and doesn't complain. 

John Lee Duecks are taking DaveLisa out for breakfast. Tina and i will stay with Torry. Pancho Esther Guenthers plan to show up this morning to take our place. Thanks to them in advance.They'll stay til Wed where PeterTina will trade off. -Isaac
